Find Your Competitors: The first step to find your seed content is to who your competitors are. Here are 3 quick ways to find them easily.

Very basic searches online for some of your target terms will reveal competitors in the search queries. Dead simple but it works

Take some of these competitors and use the related:domain.com to find sites that are like your competitors and reveal more of them.

Find Their Top Content: Once you have identified your competitors, it is time to find their top linked content for you to create better versions of it.

Open Ahrefs, put the competitor in the "site explorer" search and select "top pages"

Browse through the pages to find content pages and look at the "RD" (linking root domains) column. Pick one with over 30 RD at least.

Expanding The Seed Targets: Finally once you found 1 content concept, it's time to expand the list of all the people that covered this topic so you can outreach to all the people that link to them.

Using Ahrefs, or just your common sense, find the keywords the content ranks for in Google.

Overview

A resource page is simply a page on a website that lists helpful links and resource for a particular topic. For example, a food blog about Paleo might have a resource page dedicated to Paleo recipes.

Resource page link building is simply the process of getting your site included on the page as one of the resources. The owner of the website might have no idea your resource exists so it’s your job to let them know!
